Obesity and Diabetes Support Group Meet
AIG Hospitals organized an Obesity and Diabetes Support Group Meet on June 22, 2019 with over 40 patients and family members. The team comprised Dr. Abhishek Katakwar (Associate Director - Bariatric & Metabolic Surgery), Dr. Srinivas Thati (Consultant - Orthopaedics, Joint Replacement and Sports Surgeon) and renowned pediatrician Dr. Sivaranjani Santosh (Guest Speaker). The AIG specialists talked about Childhood Obesity, the different ways to deal with it, and exercises as well as other ways to overcome it. Participants also got a chance to meet post-bariatric surgery patients and hear their success stories. The event helped spread awareness about obesity and assist people in need.
