    The Beginning

    Asian Institute of Gastroenterology was founded as India’s first dedicated day-care centre for gastrointestinal diseases. The institute was established with the vision of providing specialized, technology-driven care for digestive disorders.

  2. 2004

    Expansion into a Full-Service Hospital

    The institute expanded its services with the establishment of a 130-bed hospital in Somajiguda, Hyderabad, enabling advanced diagnostics, therapeutic procedures, and inpatient care for complex gastrointestinal conditions.

  3. 2008

    Advancing Health and Research

    In 2008, the Asian Healthcare Foundation (AHF) came into being to improve healthcare access in underserved areas and promote preventive health, while also driving research, education, and innovation to enhance the future of medicine and patient care in India.

  4. 2014

    Global Recognition

    The institute achieved a major milestone when it was recognized by the World Endoscopy Organization (WEO) as a Centre of Excellence, becoming the first and only institution in India to receive this recognition at the time.

  5. 2018

    Birth of AIG Hospitals

    AIG Hospitals was established in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, expanding into a state-of-the-art multispecialty tertiary care hospital combining clinical care, research, and academic excellence under one roof.

  6. 2025

    Continued Growth

    AIG Hospitals continues its journey of growth with the expansion to Banjara Hills, further strengthening its mission to deliver accessible, advanced, and world-class healthcare to more patients across the region.
