Dr.Varsha Kiron is one of the best upcoming cardiologists in Hyderabad. Having trained from a premier institute like CMC –Vellore, he is well versed with a wide range of complex cardiac interventions.  He is an expert in managing cardiovascular disorders like hypertension, coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, congenital heart disease and cardiomyopathies. He leads the PERT protocol at Apollo Hospital Jubilee Hills (Pulmonary Embolism Response Team) which handles patients with blood clots in lung (pulmonary embolism) or legs (DVT). This is the first of its kind in the country with a structured team based management of conditions like pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis. He is well known among peers for Skillful and timely, life – saving emergency procedures in heart attack (myocardial infarction) patients.

 


Dr.Varsha Kiron performs diagnostic procedures like transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), coronary and peripheral angiogram. He also performs therapeutic interventions like coronary and peripheral angioplasty, CHIP angioplasty (complex bifurcations, left main, and calcific lesions), intravascular imaging guided angioplasty (IVUS, OCT) and structural interventions like device closures/TAVR/Mitraclip. He was part of the team performing the first Robotic angioplasty in AP/Telangana in 2022. He also holds the first and only publication (as of 2023) of IVL (intravascular lithotripsy) guided Carotid stenting from India. He also is an accomplished interventional cardiologist having won the 1st prize for “Most challenging case” award in NIC Conference 2018 (National Interventional Council), 3rd prize for “Most challenging case” in India Live Conference 2018. He had also presented his complex interventions at various international conferences like (TCT – USA 2018, Singapore Live 2019, TCT – USA 2022). 

 


Dr.Kiron is very keen on incorporating technology into assisting patient care. He is involved with several health-tech startups in developing solutions for various cardiac problems some of which include: digital intervention for hypertension management (pilot phase), ambulatory congestion monitoring in heart failure (IIIT-Hyderabad and iHUB collaboration – Pilot phase), digitally monitored cardiac rehabilitation etc. to name a few.
