Dr Rohit Dama is among the first batch of GI surgeons trained at AIG, with 15 years of experience in major and complex GI surgeries during which he performed over 3000 open and laparoscopic. After finishing his MBBS from Nasik Medical College and DNB (General Surgery) from Jagjivanram Hospital in Mumbai, he joined AIG for DNB Surgical Gastroenterology. He is an expert advanced thoracoscopic and laparoscopic surgeon trained in Taiwan and Brazil, and also an active member with liver transplantation and metabolic surgery teams. He has fellowship in HPB surgery from Asian Medical Centre in South Korea.
His special interest lies in research, academics, minimally invasive, robotic, and HPB surgery and has been part of many trials and projects at the institute and author of many chapters and publications. He has presented his work and received many accolades at national and international meetings.
