Dr. Ravi Komalla is a highly experienced Paediatric Intensivist with over 20 years of expertise in paediatric and paediatric critical care. He completed his MD in Paediatrics from Gandhi Medical College, followed by a Fellowship in Paediatric Critical Care (IDPCCM), jointly accredited by the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine and the Indian Academy of Pediatrics Intensive Care Chapter.
Currently serving as the Head of Paediatrics & Paediatric Critical Care at AIG Hospitals, Dr.Komalla is a recognized teacher and examiner for the Indian Fellowship in Paediatric Critical Care. He is also an accredited instructor for Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
His clinical expertise spans tertiary care paediatric emergencies, complex congenital and post-operative cardiac cases, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), extracorporeal therapies (ECMO support, plasma exchange), post-transplant care, life-threatening intoxications, and trauma cases. He has managed critically ill patients across all age groups, from neonates to older post-transplant and neurosurgical patients with multi-organ dysfunction.
As an active member of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP), the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine, and the IAP Intensive Care Chapter, Dr.Komalla has delivered numerous lectures and conducted national-level workshops.
Additionally, he has received specialized training in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), bedside echocardiography, and transplant critical care. His goal is to develop individualized treatment plans that ensure optimal outcomes for ever patient.
