Asian Institute of Gastroenterology has established a state of art, 1.4 million square foot multispecialty AIG Hospitals in Gachibowli, Hyderabad. AIG Hospitals have 6 key centres of excellence including the Centre for Liver Sciences. The Centre for Liver Sciences delivers a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach for management of liver diseases, maintaining international standards and guidelines. The Centre boasts of a team of specialists with extensive experience in the management of Paediatric and Adult liver diseases, including Chronic Liver Disease and Cirrhosis, Acute Liver Failure, Cholestatic Liver diseases, Congenital Biliary Diseases, Inherited Errors of Metabolism, as well as Paediatric and Adult Liver transplantation. The doctors and staff at the Centre are very experienced in the multidisciplinary management of all types of liver cancers including Hepatocellular Cancer, Cholangiocarcinoma, Gallbladder Cancer and Secondary Liver cancer. The combined experience of the team includes management of chronic liver disease in more than 40,000 patients, which includes 3, 500 adult and more than 300 paediatric liver transplants, 1600 liver resections for cancer and living donor liver transplantation, as well as nearly 700 Interventional radiological procedures for cancer such as TACE, TARE and Ablation.
