Colon Cancer Awareness Campaign at AIG Hospitals

Emphasizing the importance of colon cancer awareness and prevention, AIG hospitals initiated a public awareness campaign #CareforColon on the 19^th of April which lasted for 4 days. The campaign commenced with a scientific webinar series led by our Chairman Dr. D Nageshwar Reddy and Director Dr. G.V Rao, and ended with a grand cyclothon event and a special talk by our Chairman on 23^rd April 2022, promoting awareness of colon cancer. The cyclothon was conducted in association with prominent cycling groups in the city, The Hyderabad Bicycling Club (HBC), Hyderabad Cyclist Group (HCG), and The Happy Hyderabad Group, and received an overwhelming response with over 250 cyclists coming along to support the cause, including doctors, nurses, and other staff.

The cylclothon was launched with a flag off in the presence of our Chairman and Director Dr. D Nageshwar Reddy and Dr. G.V Rao, along with other cyclists, and was observed as one of the biggest cycling events for a public health cause.  The campaign was made even more special with the presence of Smt Kavitha Kalvakuntla garu, our chief guest, gracing the occasion and concluding the event with some inspiring words for continuing such campaigns to improve the awareness of colon cancer.
